If you want to go on a beach vacation but does not want to consider the overcrowded coast of Florida nor the overpriced beaches of Mexico, then you might find it hard to book yourself a getaway for the summer. More often than not, the beaches will be dotted by thousands of tourists wanting to get their fill of the sun. However, there is one place that has not been discovered by a lot of people and here, you will definitely get your much needed R and R. This place is called Orihuela Costa.

Orihuela Costa resort is located in the southeastern part of Spain more commonly known as Alicante. This beach line is part of the ever famous Costa Blanca of Spain but it is not too commercialized that it attracts lesser tourists year round.

Although its name may sound like it is in Orihuela, the Orihuela Costa is actually around 20 mile drive from the main city. What makes this stretch of beach special is that it has 16 km of shoreline for you to lounge around. With a beach that long, you would definitely find a spot for you to isolate yourself with a good book and frozen daiquiri.

If you are wondering about the resorts in this area, you need not worry since there are currently five world class resorts available in the area. Each resort has a charm of its own and will definitely entice you to come back to Costa Blanca for some more.

Cabo Roig, one of the most famous and exclusive resorts in the area, boasts of two beaches, a marina that was recently improved, and a wide variety of shops, restaurants and bars.

Another famous resort in the area is La Zenia, known primarily for its world class hotel, the La Zenia Hotel. It is famous among bar-hoppers and is home to one of the best bars in the area – Paddy’s Point.

Playa Flamenca has been doing a lot of renovations to make sure that their guests enjoy the beach right in front of the resort. Massive improvements will continuously be undertaken for the comfort of the guests.

If you want a little more adventure, head on to Punta Prima resort since this is the only resort in Orihuela Costa that actually has a Go-Kart!

Lastly, golf lovers will definitely enjoy the golf course at Campoamor resort on top of its proximity to the bars and shops and the white beach right in front of it.

Definitely, you will never run out of things to do, places to visit and activities to try out when you spend your vacation in Orihuela Costa. Whether you are here for the party or to isolate yourself from the madding crowd, you will definitely find your spot right on the beach.
