” Despite living not too far away, we decided to have a couple of nights in the Atrium, as we had not previously spent any time in Bolnuevo. We could not have been happier with our choice. We had a suite which had a lovely living area and an albeit small, balcony. Breakfast was at the adjoining cafe and was very good. Unfortunately, we did not eat at the hotel, but would consider trying it out as the menu looked fantastic.
The situation of the hotel was great – very convenient for the local bars and restaurants and the beach is a 5 minute walk away. There is also a bus service which runs into Puerto de Mazarron and Mazarron town on a regular basis, with another operator offering a service to Murcia.”

So you will by no means be stuck for something to eat. There are a few good restaurants in your city. La Siesta it is located on Avenida Pedro Lopez Meca, S/N, 30877 Mazarron.
” La siesta sits right on the beach at Bolnuevo and you would be hard pressed to find a better location.
I went there in august 2009 with my girlfriend and enjoyed it so much we went back twice during our 16 day’s holiday.
My girlfriends family have had a house in the area for years and have many friends over there, La siesta was recommended to us by all the ex-pats we met, and for good reason.
There are not any great resaurants in the area, in mazarron port we found most of the places were glorified pizza parlours. We made the mistake of going to the virgen del mar restaurant in the port, which promised fine dining but was hideous (that’s another story)!
It was a delight to discover La siesta, it is in another league. We sat at a table looking out over the sea drinking fine wine at sunset!
They have a good international menu and the food is not overpriced.
My starter of noodle soup was really nice, i could tell from how tasty it was that it was made from a good stock. My girlfriend had garlic clams, she said they were amazing.
My main of steak and pepper sauce was cooked medium rare as i had asked for and the sauce was perfect. A lot of places in Spain seem to get pepper sauce wrong and give you that white sauce with peppercorns in it. Not at La siesta, all the food was fantastic!
My girlfriend’s main course of monkfish was in her words lovely.
The service was great, all the staff were attentive and really looked after us.
La siesta is a gem, it would be a fine restaurant anywhere in the world, but in an area with a lack of fine dining it is an oasis of good food.
If you are ever in the area make sure you go, you will have a good time and a great meal in a great atmosphere.
Just make sure you call to book as the secret is out!”
” La Siesta is a family run Restaurant situated directly on the Beach of Bolnuevo with views of the blue Mediterranean with inside and outside seating Jose the owner and also the chef is hugely passionate about his food. A truly International menu with a wide and varied selection of locally grown produce and locally caught fresh fish” reviews from trip advisor
