Where to find Dolores

Dolores is situated in the Costa Blanca, in the Alicante province in between Valencia and Murcia. Some of the neighboring towns and cities include Elche, Alicante, Torrevieja, Orihuela, Rojales, and Catral. here are some of the distances that you will have to travel if you are coming in by plane. Alicante airport is the nearest airport at 45 km distance. Next, Murcia airport is a distance of just under 52 km. By far furthest airport is Valencia airport which is over a couple of hours drive.

Accommodation in Dolores

There are ample places to vacation here including Dolores hotels, guest houses, and self catering houses. There is Dolores accommodation to suit all budgets. There is also extensive mixture of houses styles in the nearest towns of Catral, Almoradi, Guardamar del Segura, Rojales, Ciudad Quesada, San Fulgencio, and Algorfa.

Renting a car in Dolores

There is no real community transportation in this region so you in reality have to rent a car. There are heaps of shops, restaurants, and bars for you to choose from if you do not want to journey any distance, some people just want a relaxing holiday. There are some exquisite areas around here and it would be a shame not to see them, and Dolores car hire will allow you to enlarge your horizons a bit more. There are numerous companies in Dolores or in the neighboring towns where you can rent a car, or you can always choose to pickup from the airport as you disembark.

What to see in Dolores

The origins of Dolores, which is adjacent to San Fulgencio or the date of the repopulation which was made by Cardinal of Cartagena-Murcia D. Luis Antonio Belluga and Moncada in the eighteenth century, into these places that were wetlands. Under Philip V benefits from having been granted to it in the War of Spanish Succession. Thus were founded several towns, including Dolores, and all dedicated to agriculture. To the north is the city of Benidorm, which has the bustling nightlife. This is where you can also visit the theme parks of Terra Mitica and Terra Natura. The local beaches of la Marina and Guardamar del Segura are only a few minutes drive away. There are plenty of markets in this area, Dolores market being held on Friday.

If you have come to the Costa Blanca for golfing, Dolores golfing has got a lot to offer you. Even though there is no actual golf course in Dolores, you are surrounded by them in this province. Other sports that you can take part in include all the water sports of diving, hang gliding, water surfing, etc down at the local beaches. There is also mountain climbing, trekking, paragliding, and so much more to do in this area.

What to eat in Dolores

The chow in this area is a mixture of Spanish, English, German, Dutch, Chinese, Indian, Cantonese, Hungarian, and I am sure if you want a particular national cuisine there will be somewhere to satisfy your taste buds. You really have to be finicky about what you read if you cannot uncover something to fit your tastes in this area. A couple of the local restaurants include El Fuelle which is situated C/ Río Segura or Meson Andalucia in the Plaza General Llopis.

The climate in Dolores

The weather conditions in Dolores are generally sun-drenched throughout the year, just similar to everywhere on the Costa Blanca. The winters are temperate and sunny, with the summers being wonderful and hot. Rainfall is something which is rare but delighted in within this province, a disruption from the invariable sunshine, but don’t be troubled because rain doesn’t occur that regularly.
